The Library Toolbar

Download the toolbar to have direct access to the library resources from your web browser.

Libris-plugin

Search LIBRIS directly from your browser's search field.

You can download a plug-in which allows you to always search LIBRIS from your browser toolbar. This works if you have Firefox 2 or Internet Explorer 7. This type of search in LIBRIS is always a keyword search.

LIBRIS-plugin

Libris Bookmarklet

Here you can 'download' a search function to your browser toolbar. Then you can mark a word on any web page and click the search function. A search query with the marked word/phrase is then sent to LIBRIS and you receive a search result with books and articles on the subject.

Proxy it-button

By using this button, which you can add to your browser, you can login to BTH anytime. This is very useful when you have found information (e.g. articles or e-books) which you do not have access to unless you are on campus or logged in. Click the button and login using your acronym and password and if BTH has access to the material, so will you.

For Firefox: pull the link to the bookmark field in your browser.
For Internet Explorer: right click and choose "add to favorites".

DOI Bookmarklet

Adding the DOI Name Resolver Button to your web browser Links/Shortcuts Bar will permit you to resolve a DOI that appears on a web page by highlighting it, and clicking on the button. Or, click on the button to display a text box into which you can type or paste a DOI name to resolve.

For Firefox: pull the link to the bookmark field in your browser.
For Internet Explorer: right click and choose "add to favorites".

when i try the proxy button and log in i get the following message. What does this mean?
To allow http://www.bth.se/bib/eng/search.nsf/pages/smart-search-tools to be used in a starting point URL, your EZproxy administrator must first authorize the hostname of this URL in the ezproxy.cfg file.
Within this database's section of ezproxy.cfg, the following line must be added:
Host www.bth.se
The EZproxy server must then be restarted to make the change take effect.

Hi,
the purpose of the proxybutton is to use it outside the BTH campus on external pages where a login is required to get access to the BTH subscribed ejournals, ebooks etc.
If you click on the button when you are on the library website you get that confusing message.
Instead - you should drag the button to your browsers bookmark field and click on it when you need to login.
Or use the one in the library toolbar (under the services tab)
BUT it will only work on sites BTH are subscribing to.
