Some success stories

In collaboration with Ericsson and ABB, researchers from BTH have developed custom-made methods to detect software faults early in the product development process. The results indicate both quality improvement and clear savings and create opportunities for innovation and new product development. The method implemented at Ericsson has become a company standard around the world and has lead to a 30 % reduction in costs for fault detection. The method introduced at ABB has been adapted and is now also implemented at Volvo.

Cooperation with Alfa Laval within intelligent systems has resulted in new methods and products for the distribution of district heating. Field studies together with Karlshamns Energi and Karlshamns Bostäder indicate energy-savings of around 10%.
