Welcome to the School of Computing

The School of Computing has approximately 130 employees.  We focus on research, education, and engineering within the areas of computer science, IT-security, software engineering, telecommunication and electrical engineering.

Top ranking

The scientific jounal 'Journal of Systems and Software' has put Blekinge Institute of Technology at an 11th position over the universities around the world with research in system- and software engineering. The research field is placed in our School of Computing.

Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) is the top university regarding number of international applications among all Swedish universities. The main attraction is our Master Programmes where all education is offered in English.  

At the moment at BTH we have around 1300 students from over 60 different countries. Many individuals in our staff also come from other countries than Sweden.
