On August the 15th CONES had its second annual workshop co-located with ICGSE in Helsinki, Finland. This year 17 senior researchers met.

The day started with presentations from our Danish colleagues and then continued with brainstorming future possible research proposals. Two main foci were discerned quite qucikly:

• Symbiotic systems
• V&V

Initial suggestions have been given on possibilities for future research proposals in, mainly, these two groups. In addition, the chairman will during the autumn write up a one-page summary of the general discussion from this day.
