Multi Agent Based Simulation (MABS)
This work is carried out in the context of the AgentLink SIG on Agent-based social simulation. Multi agent based simulation has been used mostly in purely social contexts. For instance, we are studying the applicability of MABS to simulation of software development processes. Compared to traditional simulation techniques, it has a number of interesting properties which makes it a useful technique for simulating scenarios also in more technical domains. In particular, this holds for the simulation of systems that are distributed and involve complex interaction between humans and machines, such as, traffic systems.
