I am a Professor of Software Engineering at the Blekinge Institute of Technology, in the School of Computing (Karlskrona: Sweden). The three disciplines in which I have focused my research are Empirical Web Engineering, Empirical Software Engineering, and Computer Science/(Web & Software Engineering) education.

To date this research has led to 170+ refereed publications, including two books (one edited (2005 – Web Engineering) and one authored (2007 – Cost Estimation Techniques for Web Projects)). These publications are particularly focused in the areas of Software & Web effort prediction, Software & Web measurement and metrics (quality, size metrics, productivity and usability), Empirical studies (in areas such as maintainability prediction, process improvement and pair programming), Evidence-based Research (systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses), and Software/Web engineering education (learning theories, collaborative learning).

With regard to citations, my work has received over 2100 citations (including self citations), and has obtained awards for best papers at several conferences. My  h-index on Google Scholar is 26.

I have given keynotes and invited talks at numerous events, and have been a member in the program committee of 120+ International & regional conferences, and 40+ international & regional workshops.

I love what I do, being it collaborating on research with other colleagues, supervising Masters and PhD students, lecturing, revieweing papers, organsing & chairing events... it's all great fun!
