Research Projects
XDelia - xDelia is an EU FP7 project that focuses on a broad range of subjects from traders and private investors to ordinary members of the public. The project will explore financial decision-making processes, including the role of emotion in people´s decisions.
Indienprojektet - Besides the development of business contacts and opportunities, the project focuses on cooperation in research and development, especially concerning public e-services for participatory, sustainable development. A third issue for the India Project is to further deepen the exchange of students and teachers between Blekinge Institute of Technology and Universities in India.
IMIS - Integrated Mobile Information System (IMIS) for Diabetic Homecare is a project financed by VINNOVA. IMIS is to integrate both healthcare providers (such as hospital care, primary care, home care, and school care) and healthcare receivers (especially chronic, diabetic, and elderly care) into a web based and mobile platform in order to increase healthcare interoperability, integrity, mobility for both sides.
Digital Fabrication, Biomimetics, Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction - Digital Fabrication is concerned with the development of technologies for modelling products, systems and artifacts in interactive 3D visualisation and simulation environments, and then using digital fabrication technologies to directly produce the modelled items in a physical form. Examples range from current additive rapid prototyping/manufacturing systems, to new and emerging digital biosynthesis technologies. Biomimetics is concerned with biologically inspired technology artifacts (including robots). Robotics and Human-Robot Interaction is concerned with the design and evaluation of robotic systems and methods for designing, implementing and evaluating the interaction between robots and human beings. This project explores and demonstrates convergences and synergies among these themes.
BTH CubeSat - is a project to develop a nanosatellite at BTH.
Serious games for healthy living - in Swedish Spel + Hälsa = SANT! - is a framework/motivating vision for user-driven development of serious games for health and habilitation/rehabilitation. The research and development involved is located in the overlap between Interaction Design, Serious Games and Applied Health Technology, with a special focus on Participatory Design methods for supporting user-driven innovation.
