Poster Session and Competition
The conference will have a poster session on Wednesday evening. The posters will also be available during the session breaks during Thursday. Anybody can submit a poster, but the poster competition is open only for posters where the author(s) are students; see below for more details about the competition.
The poster session is chaired by Stefan Axelsson (Blekinge Institute of Technology).
Instructions for Submitting a Poster
Draft posters should be submitted via email with the subject "NORDSEC POSTER" to Stefan Axelsson (firstname.lastname@example.org) by the end of Friday October 5, 2012. All submissions in pdf with embedded fonts. Draft status means that enough detail must be there for the submission to be reviewed. Please also clearly state the name, affiliation, students status and email addresses of the authors. Notification of acceptance will be sent to the authors by Friday October 12. If accepted the final version must be present on Friday October 19.
The final posters should be in portrait or landscape A0 (other A sizes are acceptable, as they can be easily scaled to A0). For good readability the font size should not be smaller than 28 pt and images should have at least 300dpi resolution (in the final A0 format). No poster template is provided.
The printing and displaying of the posters will be handled by the organisers.
Student Poster Competition
There will be an informal poster competition which is open for posters where the authors are students (bachelor, master, or doctoral). In order to enter into the competition, please state clearly the status of each author (student or not, and where, i.e. name of department/school). The topic should be related to a student project; e.g. a thesis, internship, course project, or PhD research project) in the area of the NordSec conference. The posters should ideally have
between 2-4 authors. (Students intending to submit a single authored poster must ask for approval from the organiser. Please talk to your supervisor so that they can help you form groups). The final decision whether a poster will be allowed in the competition is up to the
organiser. The selection of winners will be performed quite informally with the rules to be announced at the event. The winners will be announced at the Nordsec 2012 dinner.
