In total the curriculum encompasses two academic years (BTH divides one academic year into four study periods). The education takes place in Karlskrona and Nanjing, alternating as follows:

Study period 1-3 in Karlskrona: September to March, seven courses.

Study period 4-6 in Nanjing: April to December, eleven courses.

The 7th study period is assigned to individual diploma work 30 EC at a location of choice, with tutoring and seminars supported by digital methods. The 8^th study period finishes with examination in Karlskrona.
