Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) signs cooperation agreement with one of China's most prominent universities, Nanjing University (NJU).

Through a planning grant from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), BTH and NJU explored the possibilities for cooperation in the field of sustainable development. In January, the parties met for the first time when a delegation from NJU visited BTH for initial discussions. In March, representatives from BTH travelled to China to agree on the details of the cooperation agreement.
Both parties have been eager to establish a collaboration which will initially involve student exchange, mainly in the field of sustainability. Several models for cooperation were discussed and the aim is to further develop the cooperation during the following years.
