History

  • 1989, the Institute is founded
  • 1999, the Institute is granted the right to run third-cycle study programmes in Engineering
  • 1999, the Institute merges with The Baltic International School of Public Health
  • 2000, the Institute is re-named Blekinge Institute of Technology
  • 2000, the Institute opens a new campus in Karlshamn
  • 2001, the Institute is officially validated to award the Degree of Master of Science in Engineering
  • 2008, BTH becomes climate neutral
  • 2009, the 20 th anniversary of the Institute
  • 2010, campus in Ronneby joined the part of BTH in Karlskrona, which became the main campus of our Institute
  • 2011, BTH has been awarded the ECTS Label and the Diploma Supplement (DS) Label
  • 2013, Anders Hederstierna becomes Vice-Chancellor
