GIS Day in Karlskrona
The association SydOstGIS arranged a GIS day at BTH in Karlskrona on 9 November. GIS is an abbreviation for Geographic Information System and is used for collection, storage, analysis and presentation of spatial information.
BTH staff Christer Persson and Sara Eriksén hosted the event and Anders Hederstierna gave a welcome speech. The main focus of the conference was on 3D and many examples were shown of what is going on in the area in municipalities, regions, county councils and in the IT industry. One example was an overview of the work with 3D in Kalmar municipality which was presented by Robert Sjöberg. BTH was also represented among the lectures through Christer Persson, who spoke about GIS work and development at BTH.
