BTH professor elected IVA member
Claes Wohlin, Professor of Software Engineering at Blekinge Institute of Technology, has recently been elected member of IVA, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.
- It was with great pleasure that I received the news and it is obviously a great honour to be elected as a member of IVA. It is also in my opinion a proof that software development has been accepted as an engineering discipline and is not only seen as programming, says Claes Wohlin.
IVA's network consists of eminent engineers and economists from industry, academia and management. With nearly 1,000 Swedish and foreign members, the academy constitutes a highly qualified knowledge bank. Professor Claes Wohlin is elected member of IVA's department of Information Technology, which is one of twelve departments at the academy.
