Continued investment in education and research
The Board of Governors at Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH, met on Friday to make decisions on BTH's budget and business plan.
At the meeting, the Board decided on BTH's budget. The budget for 2012 is almost in balance.
- We are planning for a smaller deficit. Joint efforts are required to cope with the budget as well as strict restraint on operating costs and expenses, says Vice-Chancellor Ursula Hass.
BTH will strengthen the budget further by increasing the sale of education in markets outside Europe, at the same time as efforts to obtain external funding for research projects are intensified.
- Despite the economic situation, we will develop our activities and continue the positive development in education, research and innovation, concludes Ursula Hass.
