BTH at China International Education Exhibition Tour

During March, BTH joins the China International Education Exhibition Tour (CIEET 2012) and participate in four exhibitions in order to promote our programmes for Chinese students. Five representatives from our institute are marketing BTH at education fairs in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai and Guangzhou. There are two main target groups of prospective students visiting the exhibitions: those who are interested in starting their studies in the autumn 2012, and those who are studying in the middle of their undergraduate education and intend to begin their studies abroad in one or two years.

Visitors to the BTH booth in ChinaAn important target group at the fairs is the group of parents. Parents have a major role both in the choice of universities and the funding of studies for their children.

All advertising material used at these fairs is bilingual (English and Mandarin) which is very much appreciated by all visitors.

 

 

 

 

BTH has to split some prejudices like that Sweden is a cold country and that you have to know Swedish in order to study in Sweden. Besides interest for our programmes, many students show interest in studying the preparatory courses in English in order to improve their language skills before they start any of the programmes that we offer to international students.

Although many visitors have shown great interest in BTH, the competition for paying students is hard, especially since the majority of Chinese students prefer to study in English speaking countries.
