Education in collaboration with industry
The Knowledge Foundation has recently set aside SEK five million to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH, for the project "Diagnosis at a distance - online engineering at master level".
The project involves monitoring over internet of "health status" of machines and other technical equipment, and control of these over the internet. Also monitoring of health statuses of people with specific diseases and needs will be possible.
BTH, in collaboration with over 20 companies and institutions, will develop training courses to promote the development of systems for condition monitoring at a distance. The courses will provide the basis for a Master's programme in this field.
