Documenting your eligibility

The first steps of the application process are creating a user account at Universityadmissions.se, searching for courses and programmes, and submitting an electronic admissions application. After this has been completed, the next step is to document your eligibility for the courses and programmes you have applied for. Depending on which programme you have applied at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), you need to submit various documentation. Please check the following links in order to submit correct documents.

Faxed or Scanned Documents

Faxed copies of application documents, or any other documents, are not accepted. Thus, all documents must be originally certified and sent by post.

Scanned copies of any documents are not accepted, except IELTS tests taken after 1 January 2003 since these tests can be verified online.

Countries from which transcripts must be sent from the University

If your degree was awarded in Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, or USA, an official transcript of records must be sent directly from your university in a sealed envelope, to University Admissions.

Document requirements for applicants from Pakistan

If your degree was awarded in Pakistan, your academic degrees and transcripts have to be attested by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan (HEC) and your high school documents attested by the Inter Board of Committee of Chairman (IBCC). The authenticity of qualifications will be verified with the HEC and the IBCC.

You must bring your original documents with you

When arriving to BTH, you must be able to show your originals. This signifies that you are obligated to bring all of your original academic documents with you.

Note! Your application documents that were sent to University Admissions postal address are kept at this address, not at BTH.

Will application documents be returned?

Normally no documents submitted with your application will be returned, which is why you should never send your originals to Universityadmissions's postal address: University Admissions in Sweden. Instead, your documents should be official documents sent from your university or copies certified by a Notary Public.

Only in case of an Admission officer requesting your original documents, will these be returned.
