Documentation
When you apply for a First cycle (Bachelor) or Second cycle (Masters) programme at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), you must support your application with documentation in order to fulfill general as well as specific application requirements. Below you find instructions for this.

Certification of application Documents
Generally, application documents should be official documents sent from your university or copies certified by a Notary Public.
- BTH has always the right to contact your former university to verify your academic documents!
- Before you apply, please read the application instructions and General requirements for the Bachelor programmes, as well as the application instructions and General requirements for the Masters programmes.
Countries from which Degrees must be sent from the University
Transcripts must be sent directly, in a sealed envelope, from the university from the following countries: Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria and USA.
If your degree was awarded in Pakistan, your academic degrees and transcripts have to be attested by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan (HEC) and your high school documents attested by the Inter Board of Committee of Chairman (IBCC). The authenticity of qualifications will be verified with the HEC and the IBCC.
Faxed or Scanned Documents
Faxed Documents are not accepted
Faxed copies of application documents, or any other documents, are not accepted. Thus, all documents must be originally certified and sent by post.
Scanned Documents
Scanned copies of any documents are not accepted, except IELTS tests taken after 1 January 2003 since these tests can be verified online.
Check if Documents have Arrived
You will not be notified when your supporting documents have arrived. Instead, you can check this yourself on Universityadmissions.se by choosing "My pages".

You must Bring your Original Documents with You
When arriving to BTH, you must be able to show your originals. This means that you are obligated to bring all of your original academic documents with you.
Note! Your application documents that were sent to University Admissions postal address are kept at this address, not at BTH.
Will Application Documents be returned?
Normally no documents submitted with your application will be returned, which is why you should never send your originals to Universityadmissions's postal address: University Admissions in Sweden. Instead, your documents should be official documents sent from your university or copies certified by a Notary Public.
Only in the case of an Admission officer requesting your original documents, will these be returned.
