| Abstract: | Comfort in automobiles is greatly affected by vibrations and noise transmitted to the chassis from the engine. This is a study of the dynamic characteristics of exhaust system hangers, which is an important transfer path for vibrations. Theoretical and experimental modal analysis is used to suggest design parameters that increase the natural frequencies to above 450 Hz for two hanger types. |
