Abstract: In this paper we describe and give an overview of the various security aspects and problems that have emerged in the area of wireless communications during the last few years. Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), HiperLAN, Bluetooth and wireless LAN standard IEEE 802.11b are central standards of investigation in this paper. In conclusion, we believe that future wireless network systems will probably consist of many different wireless systems linked together, therefore there will be a need for how to harmonize the differences in their security solutions.
