The thesis “Centre less cable-winder” has been done together with Semcon Caran AB in collaboration with the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Semcon deliver for instance construction solutions for cable winders. The winders have a circular structure and are separated in different sections. The cable is loaded at a loading area which is placed furthest from the centre. Inside the loading area there is aspoke system which keeps the construction together. The mission is to find a solution which can replace the spoke system with an alternative. The case is to develop a construction suggestion for a centre less winder.This thesis is presenting six concepts, where one will be further developed. The approach has followed parts of Fredy Olsson’s method for principle constructions and for primary construction.
