Titel / Title: Analysis of autofrettaged high pressure components
Abstrakt Abstract:

Autofrettage is a procedure performed to improve the durability of high pressure components. The main aim of this thesis work was to analyse the effect of autofrettage on the valve house of the cutting head assembly of a water jet cutting machine. As the stepping stone, a thick pipe, as a typical example of pressure vessels, was employed in order to study autofrettage process and its effects. Afterward, the adopted approach was applied on the valve house. Eventually, the results showed that this procedure leads to a tangible decrease in the maximum value of stress.
