Abstrakt Abstract:	The purpose of this work has been to understand how to finance a General Public License (GPL) software for a non-mass market product. The solution is licensed under GPL and is given out for free. A survey has been done to form a base for the business case and prove if profitability is at all possible. The results indicates a possibility to generate a sustainable business model for the software. In this work also some actions are recommended to be taken.
Populärvetenskaplig beskrivning / Popular science summary:	Detta arbete syftar till att förstå om det är möjligt att finansiera en General Public License (GPL) mjukvara för en icke massmarknad. Mjukvaran är licensierad under GPL och distribueras fritt. En enkät undersökning har gjorts som bas för business caset samt för att undersöka om det finns en möjlighet till lönsamhet. Resultatet indikerar att det finns en möjlighet till att skapa en hållbar affärsmodel. I detta arbeta rekommenderas även åtgärder som kan göras.
