Applied Health Technology is an interdisciplinary science involving many skills and includes studies of how health may be related directly or indirectly to the implementation and impact of technology. Studies can be conducted from an individual or population perspective with a multidisciplinary approach and the research highlights how the disciplines of Caring Science, Public Health Science and Medical Science can be combined with technical research to promote a good life.
The research in Applied Health Technology is mainly based in the two Research environments developed at the School, i.e. research in Sustainable Active Ageing and Health & Technology. The Research environments incorporate research in the School's four research fields, Caring Science, Public Health Science, Medicine and Applied Health Technology. The majority of the School's research can be found in the two Research environments, while some research is still conducted under the domain of their research fields.
