Professional background/interests
I graduated as a reg. nurse in 1988 and worked in the Medical department in Karlskrona until January 1997. Then I started to work in the cardiothoracic clinic, which was newly started in Karlskrona. After working on the cardiothoracic ward, I graduated from specialist training in intensive care and shortly after I graduated from specialist training in anesthesia. I worked in the Thoracic Intensive Care unit for 1 year and started as a anesthetic nurse in 2001. 2005 I was offered the opportunity to educate myself as a perfusionist. The education is located in Aarhus, Denmark, and generates a Masters in Cardio Vascular Technology. During my employment in the thoracic clinic, I have worked with clinical trials and have been responsible of coordinating the research in the clinic. The 1st of October 2010 I began my employment (50%) as a project assistant in BTH, School of Health Science and was admitted as PhD-student in Linköping on the 13th of April.
