Research at the School of Health Science

Research organisation

As the recruitment of graduate students and researchers have increased in recent years, so have also the School's research grown significantly. Efforts to adapt the organization to the increase in research is an ongoing process with the stated aim to create strong and competitive Research environments which supports both strategic and long-term research projects and encourages interdisciplinary activities.

The organizational division is based on the two Research environments developed at the School, i.e. research in Sustainable Active Ageing and Health & Technology. The Research environments incorporate research in the School's four research fields, Caring Science, Public Health Science, Medicine and Applied Health Technology. The majority of the School's research can be found in the two Research environments, while some research is still conducted under the domain of their research fields.
