Successful Campus Festival at BTH

Friday September 7t, a Campus Festival was arranged at Campus Gräsvik in Karlskrona. This festival was organized as cooperation between BTH, Confucius Institute, Student Region Blekinge and Blekinge Student Union in order to welcome all students and start autumn term at BTH.

Confucius Institute celebrated 1 year anniversary and organized a Dragon Boat Race. Six teams with both students and staff from BTH participated and the afternoon contained competition, great atmosphere and team spirit. Team HAL (School of Health)wan the race. In the China tent the visitors could experience different Chinese cultural activities such as calligraphy, tea art, chinese games, literature about Chine and paper cuts.  

After the dragon boat the attention was shifted to the big stage where the music band Trumbolaget impressed with its music. Our international students also had the opportunity to show their skills; the Pakistani love song and the Bollywood dance were presented on the stage.

The following speakers welcomed the audience: the Vice-Chancellor Ursula Hass, the Student priest Göran Eckerdal, Ulrika Wilke from the Student Region Blekinge, Anna Eriksson from Confucius Institute and the representatives from the Student Union.

During the afternoon there were offered beach volleyball and the barbecue from the Student Union. For the finals Vapenbröder entered the stage at 18.00 and presented a great live music performance. The evening ended with a pub evening at the Student Union.
