The Education Council
According to the "Quality Assurance Policy for Education at Undergraduate, Advanced and Research Levels," Blekinge Institute of Technology should have a Quality Assurance Council and a Quality Assurance Coordinator. Their common task is to assist the Vice-Chancellor with developing the work of quality assurance at the university, its organization and implementation.
In the new organization, which came into force on 1 January 2014, the Quality Assurance Council has been replaced by the Education Council. The Education Council is a preparatory body, responsible for preparing education plans for decision as well as quality and development issues concerning BTH's programs and courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Education Council includes four education leaders, the quality assurance coordinator, student representatives, administrators (responsible for education plans) and the Vice Rector as chairman.
