The Quality Assurance Council
According to the "Quality Assurance Policy for Education at Undergraduate, Advanced and Research Levels," Blekinge Institute of Technology should have a Quality Assurance Council and a Quality Assurance Coordinator. Their common task is to assist the Vice-Chancellor with the overriding work of quality assurance.
The Quality Assurance Council works by order of the Vice-Chancellor and its main tasks are:
- to develop the work of quality assurance at the university, its organization and implementation;
- to encourage the exchange of experiences and innovation in quality issues within the university;
- to prepare documentation for decisions to the Vice-Chancellor regarding short-term and long-term action plans;
- to analyze the results of the quality assurance work that is carried out at the university;
- to assist the Vice-Chancellor with preparing a yearly report on the quality assurance work of the university and its results for presentation to the University Board.
According to the Quality Assurance Policy, the Quality Assurance Council should consist of:
- Representatives of the Vice-Chancellor's Office
- Representatives of the University Committees (Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson)
- Quality Assurance Coordinator
- PhD student representative
- Student representative
