BTH attends Education Fair in Poland
On February 22-24, BTH participated in the XII International Education Fair in Poznan, Poland.
The fair is organised by the Poznań International Fair in cooperation with the Poznań-based Teacher Training Centre. It gathers more than 350 exhibitors covering highschool and university studies. There were 23 international universities coming from Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Hungary, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal Sweden, Turkey, and United Kingdom. There were about 20,000 students attending the fair looking for information about highschool, bachelor's and master's programmes. Wlodek Lukessa, Professor at the School of Engineering, Piotr Urbanski, from the International Office, and Edna Aguinaga, Project assistant attended the fair.
The majority of the students were finishing highschool, thus very interested in bachelor's programmes so it was a great opportunity for BTH to promote the Bachelor's of Electrical and Computer Engineering that will start this coming fall and will be fully delivered in English. BTH was interviewed by a couple of local radio programmes and we had the opportunity to highlight the benefits of studying in Sweden: free high quality education, international environment, great surroundings, practical learning, etc.
We hope to get a good number of Polish students applying for the BsC programme in Electrical and Computer Engineering this year and in subsequent years.
