Founder Dr Karl-Henrik Robèrt introduces the Natural Step framework to Philips and the Eindhoven municipalityDNS logo

Since February 2011, The Natural Step in The Netherlands has worked with Philips and the City of Eindhoven to apply the Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development (FSSD) as a mechanism for integration of innovation, governance and sustainability towards a sustainable society.

After an initial workshop in April 2011 for Philips and 14 workshops, presentations and meetings for the City of Eindhoven, last Tuesday Professor Robèrt presented the science and need for application of the Framework to over 200 people at High Tech Campus in Eindhoven (The Netherlands). Participants from Philips top-management, City of Eindhoven and numerous businesses and NGO's experienced the opportunities and challenges for moving toward a sustainable society based on the Framework. The Natural Step is a close partner of BTH that is applying, implementing and providing feedback for the scientific research on the FSSD that BTH is leading.
