The winners of the EASA Award 2004


(17:30 Monday 27 September 2004) Academics wine and dine online at European e-learning awards in Switzerland European Academic Software Awards 2004. The finals of EASA2004 was held in Switzerland, 25-27 th of September 2004 in Le Locle and Neuchâtel.

Amongst the thirty finalists of EASA 2004, held in Neuchatel today, was a software package to help train managers of Bordeaux vineyards. As only virtual grapes were involved, no bribery was used to appeal to the finer side of the 22 jurors from 9 European countries who had the difficult task of shortlisting the prizewinners over the weekend.

The European Academic Software Awards, EASA, is a biennial competition for developers of academic software within higher education and research in Europe organised by the European Knowledge Media Association, EKMA.
