BTH students invite young leaders from across Europe to collaborate for change

Masters students in the Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (MSLS) programme at BTH will host young leaders from across Europe this week to further their skills in working towards sustainability.

Approximately 60 students from programmes such as the Youth Initiative Program in Järna, Team Academy in Finland, the KaosPilots in Denmark, and AIESEC Sweden will join MSLS students for four days of facilitation training known as The Art of Hosting, beginning on Thursday. The training will be conducted by seven leading international facilitators.

"We're excited to bring some of the brightest and most entrepreneurial minds to Karlskrona, and to explore how other Scandinavian education programmes may collaborate with BTH in future," said Tamara Connell, MSLS Programme Director.

The Art of Hosting training develops valuable skills that compliment the students' existing education. "We gain great tools in the MSLS programme that help us engage others around sustainability. Further improving our facilitation and leadership skills is vital to our success in engaging others and leading sustainable outcomes in society after we graduate," said Kati Thompson, an MSLS student and one of the initiators and organizers of the training.

The training will feature a live web conference with Margaret Wheatley, a prominent author and speaker on leadership internationally. Media are invited to attend this web conference and speak with the event organizers following her presentation.
