Invited speaker at EGOVERNET workshop in cracow
Sara Eriksén was invited to speak about e-government research in the Blekinge region at the eGOVERNET workshop Needs for eGovernment research management - regional aspect, which was held in Cracow, Poland, on June 26th 2006. Workshop agenda
The EU project eGOVERNET started in January 2006. The aim of the project is to support the creation of national eGovernment RTD programmes, as well as stimulate the integration of existing national eGovernment programmes. The project is coordinated by VINNOVA, Sweden. eGOVERNET
Sara Eriksén presented some of the recent and on-going research and development projects in the e-government area in Blekinge, such as the e-Participation project, and also told a bit about the higher education in e-government offered as distance programs at Blekinge Institute of Technology since 2004.
The presentation sparked a lively and interesting discussion about regional innovation systems in the e-government area and funding issues in this context. Cracow presentation
