Research cooperation with TeNeT Group at IIT-M 2007-2009 and beyond
Within the framework of the Swedish Research Links program, initiated by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Swedish Research Council (VR), we received funding during 2007-2009 for the multidisciplinary research project Participatory, sustainable, convergent and high quality public e-services - developing methods and practices The project aimed at developing long-term research cooperation within the area of e-government with the Telecommunications and Computer Networking (TeNeT) group at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai (IIT-M).
Project leader at IIT-M: professor Ashok Jhunjhunwala, research leader of the TeNeT group.
Project leader at Blekinge Institute of Technology: professor Sara Eriksén.
At Blekinge Institute of Technology, besides the IAW research group, associate professor Markus Fiedler and his research group in Telecommunication systems were part of the project. Professor Hans-Jürgen Zepernick also joined the group of researchers at Blekinge Institute of Technology collaborating with the TeNeT Group at IIT-M.
One of the results of this project has been the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between IIT-M and BTH providing space for student and staff exchang and research collaboration on a long-term basis.
