US Ambassador Barzun Visits BTH

The US Ambassador to Sweden, Matthew Barzun, visited BTH on 4 November 2010. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about education and research initiatives related to sustainability and clean technology. The Ambassador met with students from the School of Engineering, including the students from MSPI, and talked about the Swedish American Green Alliance (SAGA).

He also discussed various research and education projects:

And then he visited the mechanical engineering lab to see a test rig for a project that relates to using power from ocean waves to generate electricity that is done in partnership with Ocean Harvesting Technologies.

Ambassador Barzun noticed the design of this bench by Jangir Maddadi - who recently received an award from H.M. King Carl XVI of Sweden King.
