Programme plan

The programme leads to a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Structural Mechanics.

The extent of the programme is 120 ECTS credits, which means two academic years of full time study. The academic year starts in September and ends in June. The programme is given in English on Campus Gräsvik, Karlskrona, Sweden.

The courses, shown in the programme plan below, include subjects such as Mathematics, Numerical Methods, Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Tribology, Structural Dynamics and Experimental and Numerical Methods. The knowledge from the courses is applied and further developed in the thesis, dealing with problems from research and development projects at the university or in industry.

The Swedish academic year is divided into four periods of seven weeks with intermediate week(s) for examinations and recreation.
