EUROPEAN SPATIAL PLANNING AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Sustainable Development, Social Cohesion and Innovative Regions
Blekinge Institute of Technology offers two programmes within the field of European Spatial Planning and Regional Development: The one-year masters programme in European Spatial Planning and Regional Development (60 ECTS) and the two-year masters programme in European Spatial Planning and Regional Development (120 ECTS). During the first semester, both programmes will be taught together. After that, the one-year students will begin with their thesis module (30 ECTS), while the two-year students will continue with other courses which will deepen their knowledge on fundamental aspects of European Spatial Planning and Regional Development.

PLANET EUROPE
European Masters programme on European spatial planning, environmental policies and regional development - PLANET Europe (120ECTS)
In addition to BTH's two own masters programmes in European Spatial Planning and Regional Development, BTH is currently collaborating with two other European universities to offer another masters programme on European spatial planning, environmental policies and regional development. Planet Europe is a joint Masters Programme of Radboud University Nijmegen (NL), Blekinge Institute of Technology (SE) and Cardiff University (UK) and leads to an internationally-recognised double degree (MSc) from leading European planning schools.
With the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union, PLANET Europe is able to offer scholarships to talented students from within and outside the EU from September 2012 onwards. These scholarships cover travel, participation and subsistence costs for excellent applicants (see website for more information).
As of 1 October 2011 it is possible to apply for the PLANET Europe Masters programme 2012-2014. All information on the process can be found under the admission and selection section.
