This project is connected to an ongoing research project funded by the Swedish Transport Administration, and the focus is on clustering of road segments based on their characteristics. The main data used in this project is GPS-based travel time data; however, the actual clustering can be done in many different ways using this type of data. Therefore, the particular direction of the project will be determined together with the supervisor, for example, based on the student’s interest.
A prerequisite is courses in mathematical statistics and machine learning or similar.
