About Blekinge

Karlskrona and Karlshamn

Both campuses Karlskrona and Karlshamn are located by the sea in the centre of the beautiful archipelago which creates a special atmosphere. Our region Blekinge offers a safe environment as well as an excellent choice for family life with affordable housing.

The Naval Port of Karlskrona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a richly varied business community in unique environments where old meets new. Close cooperation between BTH and the business sector has led several of Karlskrona’s companies to become leaders in a number of new knowledge areas. Karlskrona has a fantastic environment and it is close to culture, entertainment, shopping, forestry and the sea. The Baltic Sea provides employees and students with opportunities for exciting leisure activities. Why not try diving, sailing, sea kayaking or fishing in your new student city? Or perhaps long distance ice-skating or ice yachting? There is also a wide range of restaurants and a rich musical and cultural life.

Karlskrona is well connected to Stockholm (50 min direct flight) and Malmö (2,5h by train) and Copenhagen (Airport, 3h by train). Karlshamn is one hour closer to Copenhagen airport.

In our small town Karlskrona, commuting to BTH is easy: have a nice bicycle ride from the city center along the seaside in 10 min and if you take the car, there are nearly no traffic jams. Click here to learn more about our region and to get a feeling of Blekinge.
