Here you can find information about the library services during the pandemic.

N.B. This information, which is valid during the pandemics, isn’t static and can be changed at any time. Keep updated!

ONLINE INFORMATION DESK

The information desk is open online in zoom for staff and students. Contact us at biblioteket@bth.se or piren@bth.se to make an appointment.

BOOK A LIBRARIAN

Students and staff at Blekinge Institute of Technology can book an appointment with a librarian for advanced information searches online via Zoom (video conference).

Library account

As a BTH student or staff, you can activate your BTH card and use it as your library card to borrow printed books. Remember that you are responsible for all loans carried out with the card.

Students activate their library account at the student portal.

Staff activate their library account at personalkonto.bth.se

Log in first and then choose library account in the upper list.

BORROW PRINT BOOKS

Search for the book in Summon and check if it is available in the library.

Come to the library during opening hours and use the self-service station.

Activate your library account in the Student portal if you haven’t done that before.

 

 

 

THE BOOK I NEED IS NOT AVAILABLE

You queue up for a borrowed book by searching it in Summon@BTH, clicking on the book title, the book status or the three dots in the upper right corner and logging in with your library account. You will get a message as soon as the book is available.

 

BOOKS TO PICK UP

Come to the library during our opening hours and borrow the book using the self-service station. The books are sorted on the borrower number (you find it in the text message) on the reservation shelf to the right of the lending machine.

RENEWALS

Try to renew the books online.
If there is a queue to borrow the book, you must return it.

RETURNS

Karlskrona: Books are returned at the self-service stations. When the library is closed you can return books in the book drop outside the library entrance.

At Piren you can return books in the book drop at the library. Bring your BTH card, you need it to get into the building. You can also return the books at Netport.

E-BOOKS

How do you find e-books?
Search in the search box on the library web site. If we have access to a book, you will find a link to the full-text which you can use to access the book. Use your student account (acronym and password) to log in. We give access to about half a million titles, most of them in English.

 

Printer

Printers are available both in the book hall (lower floor) and in the study hall on the upper floor.
