BTH at the Annual Transportation Research Board Meeting in Washington

Between the 7th and 11th of January 2018, the Go Liquefied Natural Gas, GoLNG, project was represented at the 97th Annual Transportation Research Board Meeting held in Washington DC.

Dr. Lawrence Henesey, Asst. Professor in Computer Science at Blekinge Institute of Technology, shared his knowledge on the topic of Identification and evaluation of LNG supply chains in the Baltic Sea Region. The presentations took place during the Ports and Channels Committee as well as the meeting of Maritime Group of the Transportation Research Board, it was attended by over 200+ participants.

Transportation and Research Board Meeting is the largest transport event in the world gathering professionals, academics and government representatives from the United States and beyond. The 97th meeting attracted a record number of more than 14,000 transportation professionals from around the world who are dedicated to sustainability, technologies and other hot topics engaging the sector.

The meeting program covered all transportation modes, with more than 5,800 presentations in nearly 800 sessions and workshops, addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. The theme for 2018 meeting: Transportation: Moving the Economy of the Future.
