First degree taken at the Professional Licentiate of Engineering School

Johan Silvander

Johan Silvander from Ericsson is the first researcher to take his licentiate degree in software engineering in the Professional Licentiate of Engineering School at BTH.

BTH and Ericsson have collaborated in various research projects for a long time and Johan Silvander is one of the researchers who enrolled in the “Professional Licentiate of Engineering School” at BTH. This project is an important initiative funded by the KK Foundation, which aims to meet the industry’s needs to increase the skills of employees and facilitate applied research to be transferred to industry.

– It is important that we, as a company, constantly increase our competence in the areas in which we operate. Doing this together with BTH and a research school is a good option. Our employees can dive into an area for a long period of time to build skills, but also to generate new ideas, says Martin Wallin, Program Manager Innovation & Research at Ericsson Karlskrona.

Johan Silvanders dissertation is titled “Towards Intent-Driven Systems” and can be read here: http://bth.diva-portal.org/smash/record.jsf?pid=diva2%3A1141763
