BTH offers top quality education and research. There are eleven Master´s programmes in English, in a variety of fields, ranging from engineering and spatial planning to health sciences. There are also several PhD programmes. The university is ranked top six in the world in systems and software engineering, as well as number one in Sweden, and number three in Europe, in sustainability research.
Attractive campus environment
The two campuses at BTH have exceptionally attractive environments at the waterfront by the Baltic Sea and offers creative and modern buildings and surroundings. There is one campus in Karlskrona and one in Karlshamn.

BTH has a strong focus on applied IT. BTH runs Bachelor´s and Master´s programmes in applied IT. We also award doctoral degrees in Engineering with several PhD programmes in “IT with Applications”. Our research in systems and software engineering is ranked number one in the EU.
BTH offers unique Bachelor´s and Master´s programmes in spatial planning as well as PhD programmes in “Planning and Management”.
BTH has a strong focus on sustainability and offers Bachelor´s and Master´s programmes within the area. Our sustainability research is among the six best in the world.
