Since 1999, Region Blekinge and Blekinge Institute of Technology have collaborated on clinical placement training (VFU) for nursing students. The collaboration also includes the development of clinical environments that support both education and research.

This partnership is based on BTH's need for quality internships and access to clinical environments that promote research and learning. At the same time, Region Blekinge gets access to academic support and research collaborations in prioritised areas, which contributes to continuous improvement of care and health.

An important part of the collaboration is to ensure the supply of skills in health care, as well as to create good opportunities for newly graduated nurses to quickly enter working life.

Blekinge Institute of Technology and Region Blekinge are also making a strong joint investment in the future of marine technology – an investment of SEK 50 million over five years. Read more about the marine technology investment
