The Department of Health is one of six departments in the Faculty of Engineering. It conducts research and education in health, health care and social care with the aim of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health.
Our activities are based on the perspective of citizens, patients and health professionals.
By integrating research, clinical practice and technical knowledge, we work to create the conditions for a better and healthier life.
Research activities
Research at the department is focused on nursing and health sciences, with applied health technologies as a common thread. We study:
- How new technologies can affect health
- How technological research can contribute to a better life
The aim is to develop innovative solutions that promote health and well-being in society.
Internationalisation
As a student on the nursing program, you have the opportunity to spend parts of your education abroad. For example, you can:
- Do your clinical placement (VFU) abroad
- Write your degree project at an international university
We have agreements with several foreign universities, giving you the chance to:
- Study in a new academic environment
- Develop international perspectives in healthcare
- Benefit from scholarships linked to the exchange program
