According to Chapter 10, Section 3 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100), cases concerning disciplinary measures against students are to be dealt with by a disciplinary board that must be established at each higher education institution.
The Disciplinary Board shall consist of the Vice-Chancellor as chairman, a legally qualified member who shall be or shall have been a regular judge and a representative of the teaching staff of the University. The students of the University shall be entitled to be represented on the Board by two members
