Quality Assurance System
Blekinge Institute of Technology's quality system is a central part of the work to create and maintain a high-quality research and education environment.
The system is designed to support staff and students in their efforts to develop the business, while ensuring that national requirements and objectives, as well as BTH's own quality objectives, are met.

Structure and follow-up
BTH works systematically with quality through a combination of continuous internal follow-up and regular external reviews. These measures create a clear structure for development and improvement.
Continuous follow-up
- Purpose: To identify needs for development, skills enhancement and infrastructure improvement.
- Cycles: Follow-ups take place according to one-, two- and three-year cycles.
- Methodology:
- Collection of data.
- Dialogue between responsible persons and management.
- Development or updating of action plans.
External audits
- Purpose: To provide a benchmark and external perspective on the operation through expert reviewers.
- Cycles: Reviews are conducted in three- and six-year cycles.
- Method:
- Dialogue between management, staff, students and external reviewers.
- Identification of areas for improvement and development of action proposals.
- Preparation of action plans for implementation.

Dialogue and implementation
Dialogue is a key factor in both the continuous monitoring and the external reviews. Close cooperation between management, staff, students and external stakeholders ensures that the quality system not only identifies areas for improvement, but also leads to practical and effective actions.
