Differential Equations with Lie Group Analysis, 7,5 HP

The course Differential equations with Lie group analysis, is unique, it is taught in Sweden only at Blekinge Institute of Technology. The course was originally developed by Professor Nail Ibragimov, who was a leading researcher in modern Lie group analysis and differential equations. The importance of the topic cannot be overemphasized - Lie group analysis helps to solve many important differential equations used in mathematical modelling in many and diverse fields. During this course you will obtain knowledge of traditional analytical methods for solving linear and nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations. Furthermore, you will develop skills in applying Lie group analysis to solve nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations.
