Admission to the course requires 2 completed credits in Technical Introduction.
The course aims for the students to acquire basic knowledge in various theories and work processes for product development to then acquire in-depth knowledge in functional analysis, innovative solutions, principles of innovation, creative techniques (including brainstorming, brainwriting, and morphological matrix), as well as in drivers, barriers and methods of sustainable product development. The purpose of the course is also to support the student in learning basic tools for database searches for patent solutions to technical problems, as well as to acquire knowledge in product protection and intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, and design protection).
