The course provides an introduction to programming in the Unix environment, combining theory with practical applications. Students are introduced to the history and structure of Unix and Linux systems, including the GNU/Linux operating system and its file hierarchies. After completing the course, students are expected to be able to write effective Bash scripts and develop programs for Unix systems.
