IY1441 Project and Process Management
This course is designed to prepare students for effectively handling and managing projects. It aims to develop the student’s knowledge in process and project management, including theoretical foundations for different types of leadership and team management in knowledge-intensive environments, the general structure of projects and project planning in knowledge-intensive environments, and practical implications for running a project smoothly and successfully.

This course is a remote learning opportunity that runs from 19 January 2026 to 29 March 2026. The first lecture will be held on January 20th between 10AM and 11AM via Zoom. Through the course we will cover topics such as leadership theories, strategic project management, and various models and tools for traditional, agile, and extreme project management. Students can access the course material before each lecture and ask questions at the end of each session. The lectures will be delivered online via Zoom and the material will be available on Canvas. Therefore, students need to have a notebook or PC with a reliable internet connection, as well as Zoom and a common browser like Google Chrome installed. Some of the group work activities may require using Miro, which is an online platform that does not require any installation. The course consists of eight lectures in total.

The course assignments consist of three components: Reflections, Project report, and take-home exam. Each component has a different format, weight, and assessment criteria. Reflections is an individual exam that tests your understanding of the course content and your ability to apply it to real-world scenarios. Project report is a group assignment that requires you to work collaboratively with your peers to design and implement a solution for a given problem. Take-home exam is an individual assignment that evaluates your knowledge and skills on the topics covered in the course. Reflections and Project report are marked as pass/fail, while take-home exam is graded on a scale from A to F.

IY1463 Product Management
The course is given remotely and starts on 2026-01-19 and ends 2026-03-29. You can therefore choose when and how you study, provided that you follow the schedule and respect the deadlines that apply to the submission tasks.

Please note that all lecture material is pre-recorded. As a complement to the pre-recorded lectures, there will be scheduled discussion sessions for those of you who have the opportunity to participate. The scheduled discussion session takes place on 19-01-2026, at 10.15 - 11.00

The purpose of the course is to give you students basic knowledge in product management based on four areas, each of which is examined in turn:

Part 4: Commercialization

Learning platform and equipment

BTH expects all students to have access to their own computer. There is only limited access to computers in our computer labs on campus. You also need access to a webcam, headset with microphone and internet connection for digital lessons.

The Canvas learning platform is used in all courses and programmes on campus and in digital education.
